Privacy Policy

Who we are

LYNEUP is operated by Metav Sharoni. For privacy questions, email privacy@lyneup.io.

This policy covers lyneup.io and the LYNEUP iOS app. It is written for real users, not as a substitute for legal advice.

What this covers

It applies when you:

• Browse festival guides or this website
• Download LYNEUP or tap through to the App Store
• Create an account, swipe lineups, build a schedule, or invite friends
• Contact us about privacy or support

Ticket links on festival guides go to each festival's own ticketing partner. Their privacy policies apply once you leave LYNEUP. We do not sell festival tickets.

Information we collect

You give us

• Account. Email address and a login code. We use passwordless sign-in, so we do not store a password for you.
• Profile. Display name and, if you add one, a profile photo from your camera or library.
• Taste and plans. Genre preferences, artists you like or skip, saved festivals, personal schedules, and festival requests.
• Social. Friends, invite links, shared schedules, and messages you send in the app.
• Purchases. If you buy something in the app, Apple processes the payment. We receive purchase status (for example, whether a product is active), not your full card number.
• AI features. If you use an AI-powered feature, the prompt or content you submit is sent so we can generate a response.

We collect automatically

• In-app actions. Screens you open, swipes, taps, features you try, and similar product events. We follow this closely so we can make the app better — not so we can sell a profile of you.
• Device and app diagnostics. Device type, OS version, app version, language, network state, crash logs, and performance data.
• Website usage. Pages viewed, referrer, approximate country, browser, and device category.
• Push token. If you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can send them.
• Technical logs. IP address, timestamps, and request metadata needed to run and secure the service.

Stored on your device

The app keeps lineups, schedules, session tokens, and cached data locally so it still works with bad festival Wi-Fi. Signing out or deleting the app removes most of that from the device. It does not automatically erase the copy on our servers — email us if you want that deleted too.

How we use it

• Create and keep your account signed in
• Show lineups, track previews, and your personal schedule
• Let you invite friends and compare plans
• Send notifications you asked for (set-time updates, invites)
• Understand how the app is used, fix bugs, and decide what to improve
• Measure whether website ads actually lead to downloads
• Prevent abuse, spam, and fraud
• Comply with law and respond to your requests

We do not sell your personal information, and the app itself does not show ads.

Analytics and advertising

Two different things happen here, and they are easy to mix up:

• Product analytics (app + site). We record how people move through LYNEUP so we can improve it. That includes in-app actions, crashes, and Expo usage insights. This is first-party product work, not an ad network watching you around the internet.
• Advertising measurement (website only). lyneup.io loads Google Ads conversion tags so we can tell whether a campaign led someone to the App Store. That uses Google cookies and similar identifiers on the website. Tapping Download on the site may send a conversion event to Google.

We also use Vercel Analytics on the website. It is designed to be privacy-preserving (aggregated page views, no advertising profile).

On iOS, Apple may ask for tracking permission. If you decline, we still collect first-party usage data to run and improve LYNEUP. We do not use Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog, or similar third-party product-analytics SDKs.

When we share information

We share information with companies that help us operate LYNEUP, only as needed:

• Vercel — website hosting and web analytics
• Google — advertising conversion measurement on the website
• Apple — App Store, push delivery, and in-app purchases
• Expo — app runtime, updates, and diagnostic insights
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase status, if you buy something
• OpenAI — AI features you choose to use
• Infrastructure and app-platform providers — hosting the API, authentication, and the product-analytics we use to improve the app

Other people on LYNEUP can see what you choose to share: your display name, profile photo, and schedules or likes you make visible to friends. Invite links contain a token. Anyone with the link can use it, so only send it to people you trust.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect LYNEUP or other people, or if the project is transferred (we would still expect the new operator to honor this policy or notify you).

How long we keep it

We keep account, schedule, and social data while your account is open, and for a reasonable period after if we need it for backups, abuse prevention, or legal reasons. Product analytics and server logs are kept only as long as they are useful for debugging and improving the app, then deleted or aggregated.

If you want an account deleted, email privacy@lyneup.io. We will erase or anonymize personal data we control, except where we must retain a limited record (for example, a completed purchase or a legal hold).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and personal data
• Export a copy of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising — we do not sell personal information. Website Google Ads conversion measurement is the advertising-related processing we do; you can control cookies in your browser and tracking permission on iOS

Email privacy@lyneup.io from the address on your account. We may need to verify it is you. You can also complain to your local data-protection regulator.

Cookies and similar tech

The website uses cookies and similar identifiers for Google Ads conversion measurement. Vercel Analytics does not rely on advertising cookies. The iOS app uses local storage, a local database, and the Keychain/secure store for sessions and offline data — those are not browser cookies.

You can block cookies in your browser. If you do, download conversion measurement may stop working; the rest of the site should still load.

Children

LYNEUP is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Some festivals we cover are 17+ or 18+. If you believe a child has created an account, email privacy@lyneup.io and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our providers such as Vercel, Google, Apple, Expo, RevenueCat, and OpenAI may process data in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have different privacy laws than yours. We only use providers we need to run the product, and we take reasonable steps to keep that data protected in transit and at rest.

Security

We use HTTPS, hashed/session-based auth (no password stored by us), and encrypted storage on-device for tokens. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you and regulators as required by law.

Changes

If we change how we collect or use personal data in a material way, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Keep checking back if you care about the details; continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
